- Apr 1111:00 AMI-SENSE Distinguished Seminar Series: Decentralized Diabetes Data Platform for Senior Health ManagementKouhyar Tavakolian, Ph.D., director of of the BioInnovation Zone (BiZ) at the University of North Dakota and the UND Site Director for Center to Stream Healthcare in Place (C2SHiP), discusses a decentralized diabetes data platform aimed at improving health management for seniors, leveraging AI, federated learning, and edge computing. With diabetes cases and related costs rising, current centralized data systems fail to provide comprehensive insights for effective treatment. This initiative integrates real-time data from electronic health records (EHRs), diagnostic imaging, and wearable devices to uncover hidden health patterns and personalize care. By enhancing data privacy, streamlining care, and addressing health disparities, the platform aims to set a new standard in diabetes management while ensuring scalability for broader healthcare applications.Join the Webinar: https://fau-edu.zoom.us/j/89480811442?pwd=GAmb8t2w8mBbd3rxfSlTTtfG8Ia6mG.1
