- Aug 286:00 PMWomen In Law Fall 2025 MeetingsWomen in Law was founded with the intention of uniting other female students interested in politics, law, attending law school, or pursuing a legal career. As a club, we aim to provide a safe haven for people who might not feel appropriately represented on campus as women in fields or majors that are predominantly male. Additionally, we want to unite people who share interests so that we can all succeed (preparing for law school, discussing complex legal issues together, networking, etc..) That is the community we want to help create at our meetings.Hosted by: Women In Law FAUAdditional Information can be found at: https://fau.campuslabs.com/engage/event/11410184

- Aug 2910:00 AMOverdose Awareness Walk and Recovery EventA walk of remembrance in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day will start at parking lot #5 and end at the SO-44 Rotunda outside the Social Work Building at 11:30 AM. There will be some parking available in lot 5, but it is impossible to predict how much. We suggest arriving early. If there is no parking available at Lot 5, metered parking is available throughout the campus. Underneath the rotunda, resource tables and a podium will be set up for speaker presentations. Speakers will include parents of students lost to overdose, and two students speaking about the importance of the Collegiate Recovery Community at FAU and how the organization has been supportive. The presentation is expected to start at noon. Throughout the event, several Recovery-Oriented Community Services Organizations serving Palm Beach and Broward Counties will provide Naloxone (Narcan) to any interested individual free of charge. Overdose is the leading cause of death in the United States for any person under the age of 50, and naloxone is an over-the-counter intranasal medication that quickly reverses the effects of an opioid overdose and saves lives. We hope this event raises awareness and fights the stigma surrounding addiction and recovery.Hosted by: The Collegiate Recovery CommunityAdditional Information can be found at: https://fau.campuslabs.com/engage/event/11438888
