The virtual training is interactive and dynamic and encourages participants to take an active role in their learning.Learning Objectives:Review changes to Florida laws and rules relating to Interns and SupervisorsDiscuss various electronic delivery systems for supervision and methods for ensuring confidentialityDiscuss ethical, legal and regulatory issues of supervision, including documentation of the supervisory sessionsReview research of effective supervision modelsReview challenges in supervisionAddress how cultural issues can affect the supervisory relationshipDiscuss accountability of both the supervisor and the intern in the supervisory relationshipDiscuss the business aspects of supervisionDiscuss the ethical, legal, and regulatory issues of teletherapy About the Presenter:Patricia Temes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida, with ample experience supervising both new and seasoned professionals from very diverse social work backgrounds. She is a proud FAU Sandler School of Social Work MSW alumni, and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at FAU. For the past 6 years, she has collaborated with other Field Faculty to facilitate the Field Instructor Supervisory Training for the FAU Sandler School of Social Work.As an LCSW, Ms. Temes has provided mental health services to children, adults, the elderly, and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her experience in health care includes serving individuals living with HIV through Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), as well as supporting mental health patients in inpatient psychiatric facilities. Ms. Temes' passion for international social work has led to community engagement and development projects in both Brazil and Ireland, where she has participated in research, organized local events, and taught study abroad courses.
