| Fresh Friday Date & Time: November 7th from 12:00pm – 2:00pm Location: Campus Rec Pool Description: Fresh Friday will kick off first-generation student week. During the First-Gen Fresh Friday we will connect first-gen students with health and wellness services offered at Florida Atlantic. The following campus partners will be providing activities and prizes for first-gen students: Student Health Services, Owls Care Health Promotion, and CAPs. In addition, the First-Gen office will be providing food, swag, and a DJ. First-Gen Alumni Tailgate Saturday, November 8th from 11:30am – 2:30pm Location: Alumni Center November 8th is first-generation student day! To celebrate we are hosting a first-gen alumni tailgate. This event is sponsored by Alumni & Community Engagement and the First-Generation Student Success office. Unlocking Personal Financial Power for Impactful Leadership Monday, November 10th from 3:00pm – 4:00pm Location: Zoom (https://fau-edu.zoom.us/j/86747161929?pwd=TK05ftyCadxrVAJdy26pHjSBT4NuVP.1) Description: This is our first virtual event for first-generation week. Three winners will receive $100 bookstore vouchers. The financial aid office will be providing a virtual session that connects financial wellness directly to leadership development, showing how strong money habits build confidence, resilience, and strategic thinking — all essential leadership traits. First-Gen Student Affairs Spotlight Tuesday, November 11th Follow us on Instagram @faufirstgen to see all of the first-generation college graduates within the student affairs division that support our current first-gen owls! Smart Money Jeopardy Wednesday, November 12th from 3:00pm – 4:00pm Location: Student Union, Grand Palm 1 & 3 Description: This event is sponsored by the First-Generation Student Success Office in partnership with Financial Aid. Students will learn best practices in financial management while participating in a jeopardy game where they can win fun prizes. Plates, Protocol, and Power: The Nuances of Networking Friday, November 14th from 12:00pm – 2:00pm Location: Live Oak A & B Description: Please join us for a special luncheon designed to connect students with local employers while learning the art of professional dining and conversation. This event will feature Business Conversation & Collaboration Specialist Mimi Meister, who will help participants develop positive first impressions and navigate introductions and discussions with local employers. Students will be seated with employers and encouraged to practice networking to build meaningful professional connections all in a relaxed dining setting. Who will be there:
