The first Concert of the season is on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. in the University Theatre. Under the direction of Dr. Laura Joella, the program includes rich musical storytelling, from the blazing Latin rhythms of Arturo Márquez’s Conga del Fuego Nuevo, to the lush lyricism and jazz-infused sound of Florence Price’s Dances in the Canebrakes, orchestrated by William Grant Still. Tickets are free for FAU faculty, staff, students.
