Florida Atlantic University will confer more than 1,800 degrees on Tuesday, Aug. 9 during four commencement ceremonies in the Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. The new graduates will join more than 190,000 alumni who have graduated from FAU since the University opened its doors in 1964.

“Congratulations, class of 2022,” said FAU President John Kelly. “The culmination of your success carries forward FAU’s longstanding traditions to modern times. The legacy of achievement you’ve created will serve as an inspiration to future generations, who will look to each of you as examples of determination, strength and ingenuity.”

Some interesting statistics regarding the summer graduating class include the fact that 37 of the degree recipients are over the age of 50, four are over the age of 60 and one is over the age of 70. The oldest graduate is 71, and the youngest is 18. The graduates represent 47 countries.

For the convenience of family members and friends who cannot attend the commencement ceremonies, the proceedings will be cybercast at www.fau.edu.
