As part of Suicide Prevention Month, the School of Social Work (SOSW) is requesting approval to host a Kindness Rock Painting and Scavenger Hunt event aimed at raising awareness about suicide prevention and promoting mental health on campus. This event will provide a safe and supportive space for SOSW members and FAU students to come together in community, creativity, and reflection. Participants will paint rocks with messages of kindness, hope, and encouragement, which will then be placed around the College of Social Work and the broader FAU campus as part of a campus-wide scavenger hunt. In addition to the interactive activities, the event will highlight the importance of suicide prevention through shared resources, open dialogue, and peer connection. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging, reduce stigma, and remind our campus community that no one is alone.
