Join our first meeting of the year! Learn what the College Democrats do and find opportunities to get involved in progressive politics on- and off-campus.  Prepare young Americans to participate in our democracy: we have registered thousands of voters on campus, helped people prepare for vote-by-mail ballots, and circulated petitions to create progressive change in Florida. Engage students in healthy politics. We live in some of the most divisive times since the Civil War, but the answer isn't to "give up" on politics. We navigate healthy disagreement and constructively discuss current events. Support our local community. Democrats need to be present year-round, not just during a few months of election season. We participate in food drives, clothing drives, mutual aid, and fundraisers for causes such as veteran wellbeing and local conservation efforts. Connect progressive students with each other, progressive candidates and elected officials. Local public servants are always looking for volunteers, interns and employees and our club is a pipeline to these opportunities! Organize passionate, principled students in defense of our rights and freedoms on campus. Other clubs are understandably reluctant to oppose right-wing university or state policy.
