Thursday, October 9, 2025 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- LocationFAU College of Social Work & Criminal Justice
- DescriptionOctober is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Florida Atlantic University is joining the national movement to raise awareness, foster healing, and take a united stand against domestic violence.
Join the Florida Atlantic Police Department, in collaboration with the Phyllis and Harvey Sandler School of Social Work, for a powerful event designed to bring our campus and community together.
The program will open with a panel discussion featuring a survivor, a police officer, violence and prevention specialists, and a faculty member of the School of Criminal Justice. Together, they will share stories, professional insights, and strategies for how we can best support those impacted by domestic violence.
Following the panel, participants will come together for a unity walk on campus to demonstrate our shared commitment to ending domestic violence.
Throughout the event, resource tables will be available with information on campus and community services for anyone seeking support for themselves or others.
This event is open to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Together, we can take meaningful steps toward awareness and prevention.
