Florida Atlantic Partners with Islamorada Beverages for Paradise Lager Craft Beer
BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Florida Atlantic has partnered with Islamorada Beverages to launch Paradise Lager, the official craft beer of the Owls. The beer will debut in athletics venues, including FAU Stadium, and be sold in select retail locations across the tri-county area in the coming weeks.
Islamorada shares a profound connection with Florida Atlantic University as three of its four founders are proud alumni, including president Tyrone Bradley, along with Chris Trentine, and Whitney Trentine.
"Islamorada has been a tremendous partner for Florida Atlantic and we're thrilled to expand the collaboration with the debut of Paradise Lager," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Brian White. "The University and Islamorada have deep connections through its founders, and we're thrilled to have Paradise Lager as a new offering to our fans."
Paradise Lager evokes the campus's serene ambiance, surrounded by palm trees and the allure of the nearby Boca Raton beaches, just 1.8 miles away. Celebrating Florida Atlantic's distinct style and marine heritage, this collaboration promises to unite students, alumni, friends and family in a toast to paradise.
"Partnering with Florida Atlantic University to create Paradise Lager is a natural fit for us at Islamorada Beverages," said Bradley. "Our company was founded with the principles instilled in us during our time at Florida Atlantic -- primarily our core values of innovation, a commitment to excellence, and a deep connection to community. Paradise Lager is more than just a beer; it's a celebration of our shared roots, a toast to the vibrant, laid-back culture that makes South Florida so unique, and a testament to Florida Atlantic University's commitment to its students, past, present, and future."
The unique and distinctive can design is highlighted by a coastal sunset theme, includes Florida Atlantic's branding and paradise-themes with palm trees that are abundant on the school's campus. A brief history of the Florida Atlantic-Islamorada connection is included on every can.
Both athletics and the university will share in the proceeds of royalties generated from the sales of Paradise Lager. The beer will be sold at FAU Stadium, and all athletics events serviced by Chartwell's. Additionally, it will be sold at local Hooters locations and in select Publix supermarkets and Total Wine locations throughout Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield and Pompano Beach, with further regional distribution possible.
