Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

We are here as to provide FAU students with timely and effective mental health services. All our services are included with student tuition and confidential!

In addition to our office, we work closely with Student Health Services to provide additional therapy options.

For Students

Psychiatric Services from Student Health Services (SHS)

Student Health Services (SHS) is committed to the mental wellness of FAU students. The SHS team is available to evaluate, diagnose, and treat common mental health disorders. We also work with a team of psychiatry providers to maximize your care. SHS collaborates closely with FAU Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).
Students in Distress
This guide informs faculty, staff and students how to recognize signs of distress, provides tips on how to respond to distressed students’ observations and their concerns, and provides references which enable faculty, staff and students to determine who to contact.
