Football Gameday Guide: vs. FIU
BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The 22nd playing of the Shula Bowl is Saturday at 6 p.m. when Florida Atlantic hosts FIU at FAU Stadium, in a game presented by Baptist Health.
The rivals, separated by less than 60 miles, have been meeting on the gridiron since 2002, with the Owls leading the series 16-4. FAU has won six straight and seven of the last over the Panthers. Grab your official 2024 Owl Towel at any gate on your way into the stadium, courtesy of Baptist Health! Fans are encouraged to bring their Owl Towels to each home game.
General public tickets start at $20 and can be purchased here, or by calling 1-866-FAU-OWLS. Ticket prices increase on the day of the game. To avoid lines and increased charges, buy your tickets in advance. Tickets for FAU students are free and can be claimed by clicking here.
Those looking for free tickets can bring an unopened box of cereal as Boca Helping Hands, in collaboration with the Owls and Cereal4All will commemorate September's Hunger Action Month by hosting a Tackle Hunger Cereal Drive during the FAU vs. FIU football game. Those who donate one or more cereal boxes will get a free ticket to the game. Unopened cereal boxes can be dropped at the stadium (Gate 1) on game day.
To avoid congestion at the gates, fans are encourage to download their tickets digitally on a smartphone or mobile device.
Tailgating may begin when parking lots open at 2 p.m. (four hours prior to kickoff), and don't miss the Owl Walk at 3:30 p.m. in its new location for 2024 – as the team unloads the buses and walks through the Student Tailgates in Lot 5 before entering the team. Click here to buy parking in advance.

- Saturday's ServePro Hometown Hero is James Guy. James was a sergeant in the U.S. Army from 2011-2016 as a military police officer. He received numerous awards while stationed stateside and deployed downrange. He is a recent Florida Atlantic University graduate with a bachelor's of science degree and is very active in the community as a youth sports coach.
