FAU Tech Runway® recently accepted 17 companies to participate in the 14th cohort of its Venture Program.

The Venture Program provides the most promising startups and talented entrepreneurs in South Florida with resources from FAU’s Innovation and Business Development pipeline, entrepreneurial instruction, structured team-based mentoring, networking, marketing and capital-raising assistance, co-working space, events, intern support and other vital programs.

Companies accepted into the Venture Program must have strategic alignment with FAU’s research focus areas, including drone technologies; educational technologies; environmental science; marine science; ocean engineering; neuroscience; healthy aging; big data analytics; artificial intelligence; machine learning; cyber security; sensing; and smart systems.

The 17 companies in Venture Class 14 are:

  • AIKOLO LLC, an EDGE AI company that develops a box-style unit, is set to introduce AI capabilities to the global array of long-range surveillance sensors in a simple, rapid and cost-effective manner.
  • Arranged AI is dedicated to addressing a pressing issue: 58% of Americans collectively spend $202 billion annually to combat loneliness. It is the first voice-based matchmaking app designed to build authentic relationships.
  • Clean Box Enterprise Inc. is a fully autonomous human sanitation machine designed to provide a quick, convenient and efficient way for individuals to clean their bodies from neck to feet. Its state-of-the-art technology and innovative features include water temperature.
  • Dreamigos LLC is a dedicated platform for dreams. Its core product is an online dream diary where dreams are recorded and optionally shared. Dreamers will have access to a vast network of dream therapists for interpretation, education and more.
  • eJet Aerospace makes electric defense aviation a reality, as it has patented the first electric cold jet propulsion system technology known as SMAPAD®.
  • Epilyse is a pioneering seizure detection app integrated with wearable devices to empower epilepsy management through cutting-edge technology and AI.
  • Evala.ai is an AI-powered platform designed to help early-stage founders create and perfect their pitch decks. Founders upload their pitch deck and receive slide-by-slide actionable feedback and suggestions, scoring and a full summary.
  • ExtremeComms Lab Inc. is an affordable and programmable underwater wireless modem to build the internet of floating things.
  • Future Optek LLC makes mixed reality glasses used to aim firearms. The AR glasses enable someone’s aim from an otherwise impossible position (e.g., the hip), has rapid target acquisition, and reduces response time for the situations where saving seconds saves lives.
  • NanoDetect stands at the forefront of accessible, cost-effective, rapid, non-invasive and convenient medical diagnostics, meant to spearhead a revolution in health care through its groundbreaking nanotechnology.
  • Neurodiverse Educational Testing (N.E.T.) offers advanced AI-driven assessments for neurodiversity, to facilitate early diagnosis and tailored support for children. N.E.T. enhances 504 education plans, empowering families and educators to address the unique needs of neurodiverse students.
  • Send Amor is a multinational remittance financial service that focuses on mobile-to-mobile money transfers, providing a reliable secure way for various populations to send and receive money across continents.
  • Social Wellbeing LLC is a platform that connects patients, communities and health care providers. Its goal is to streamline the search for quality care by offering a quicker, more efficient way to locate excellent health care services in your area.
  • Starfish Software LLC uses AI to help small businesses understand and lower costs. Its AI integrates into accounting systems and automates the P&L analysis, saving customers time and money.
  • Sternum Shield helps open-heart, thoracic and cancer patients recover faster and heal quicker after surgery, alleviating pain, discomfort and fear associated with surgery.
  • Strong Interactive.io pioneers digital solutions specializing in Web 3, mixed reality and AI technologies, to create immersive experiences in sports, entertainment and hospitality, while enhancing fan engagement and offering innovative AR and AI driven content.
  • Wholesale Payroll LLC is a payroll software platform for industry professionals to create scalable and profitable revenue centers within their practice.

Venture Class 14 participants join a robust community of fellow entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, instructors and top-level support professionals.

FAU Tech Runway® is a public-private partnership formed to incubate and accelerate early-stage technology-based companies under the purview of FAU’s Division of Research . Applications for the next cycle of the Venture Program will open Oct. 15.
