Center for Learning And Student Success (CLASS)
Offering a variety of free tutoring programs to help students achieve and excel at FAU.
- Supplemental InstructionPeer facilitated study sessions for students taking challenging courses in science, engineering, business and humanities.
- Science Learning CenterProvides academic support for a wide variety of Science courses, they also have an anatomy and Physiology lab, organic chemistry center, Microscope learning bar and a virtual reality learning space.
- Business, Engineering & Languages Learning LABSmall group tutoring in the areas above, business, Engineering and Languages
- eSuccess, Academic Support for Online StudentsFocuses on tutoring for the needs of online students.
- Civic Literacy WorkshopsFree workshops to help students prepare for the Civic Literacy exam mandatory for graduation.
Math Learning Center (MLC)
Tutoring all math courses, drop in or appointment based. Online and in person.
- Succeed at Methods (SAM) LabSupports Methods in Calculus course MAC2233
- LA Program – QEPSimilar to Supplemental Instruction (SI) in that students have the opportunity to apply concepts learned in class and the content is structured, however unlike SI which is voluntary and outside of class, every student in the class participates in the LA program as it is embedded in the course during scheduled class time.
The Speaking Center
FAU initiative to advance the oral communication competence of all students, faculty, and staff.
University Center for Excellence in Writing (UCEW)
Supports and promotes writing for all members of the FAU community.
Student Athlete Success Center (SASC)
Tutoring for student athletes, held in the Schmidt Family Complex.
