BOCA RATON, Fla. - The No. 13 Florida Atlantic men's basketball team is back at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena for a pair of key non-conference games this week, hosting Liberty at 6 p.m. Thursday and Charleston at 6 p.m. Saturday.
The games are part of the Field of 68 Tip-off, with Liberty and Charleston also facing off on Friday at 6 p.m. at Baldwin. All three teams reached the postseason last year with FAU in the Final Four, Charleston also in the NCAA Tournament and Liberty in the NIT.
Based on ticket returns from the visiting teams, there are a limited number of tickets for both FAU games Thursday and Saturday. Please call 1-866-FAU-OWLS or email tickets@fau.edu for ticket information. Friday's game between Liberty and Charleston is free general admission seating and parking for all patrons.
The Owls (5-1) enter having won three straight and are coming off the program's first in-season tournament championship after winning the ESPN Events Invitational in Orlando this past weekend. FAU bounced Butler, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech en route to the title behind tournament MVP Alijah Martin.
Liberty brings a spotless 6-0 record to Boca Raton and is receiving votes in the latest AP Poll, in which FAU was ranked No. 13. The Flames were 27-9 last season and fell in the NIT second round. Charleston is 3-3 this season, but are a year removed from going 31-4 and falling to San Diego State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Both FAU games can be seen live on ESPNU with radio coverage on the FAU Sports Media Network, which can be heard locally on Fox Sport 640.
