The NDH Science Lecture Series was created to encourage and inspire students in the sciences, and provide access to educational lectures by leaders in the scientific fields for FAU students, faculty, and community members, free of charge. This lecture series is organized by the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science.

Edward Kennedy “Duke” Ellington composed or co- composed more than 1,000 works, ranging from dance melodies to sacred pieces incorporating elements of blues, gospel, and classical traditions. Ellington’s contributions earned him 14 Grammy Awards, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and a posthumous Pulitzer Prize. Please join Artistic Director of Jazz, Courtney D. Jones, DMA, and the members of the Florida Atlantic Jazz Orchestra as they pay Tribute to the Duke, with guest soloist Irena Kofman, DMA. Tickets $10.
