Join us for our kickoff event where you’ll get the chance to learn more about Women in Engineering & Computer Science (WIECS) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE)! This event will give attendees a clear introduction to who we are, what we stand for, and how you can get involved.
We’ll introduce our leadership teams, share our goals and mottos, and highlight upcoming opportunities within the organizations. More than just an introduction, this kickoff is designed to create a welcoming and relaxing environment where students can connect with one another.
Expect a comfortable space with engaging activities—including an icebreaker to help everyone connect and a “plant-a-pot” activity where you can take home something special. The event is designed to create a space for attendees to meet and get to know one another, while also welcoming new and returning members to the start of the Fall semester. Throughout the kickoff, we will introduce upcoming events, leadership, and important club information, all while providing a relaxing experience for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re curious about joining, looking to connect, or simply want to hang out in a fun atmosphere, this event is the perfect way to kick off the semester with WIECS and SWE!
