We’ll explore strategies for achieving work-life balance through effective self-care and burnout prevention techniques.Facilitator Bio: Marie English-Arterberry, LCSW is a dynamic leader with over 25 years’ experience in mental and behavioral health. For 20+ years Marie worked and directed the Broward County Public Schools’ Employee Assistance Program (EAP). She led her team in the development of innovative employee engagement activities, presentations, and services around total emotional wellness. In 2018, following the tragic mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, Mrs. English-Arterberry (Marie), was charged with the enormous task of leading the development and delivery of vital services necessary to contribute to the stabilization and mental health recovery of Broward County Public Schools more than 30k employees, made up of both primary and secondary victims. Marie is a passionate content creator, presenter, and strong advocate for a holistic approach to mental well-being. She has developed and presented to a wide range of audiences on such topics as; The Value of Self – Care, Burnout Prevention, Crisis Management, Conflict Resolution, and The Mind Body Connection, to name a few. She seeks to present in a way that resonates with audiences on a personal level that moves information from inception to adoption. Marie is a licensed clinical social worker. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida Memorial College and holds a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Barry University.

This initiative will showcase two evening-length ballets at FAU's University Theatre, offering students, faculty, and the local community an opportunity to experience world-class performances with Jewish and Israeli themes.Houdini - The Other Side explores the life of legendary escape artist, Harry Houdini, through dynamic choreographic interpretation of his life and inner struggles.There will be a reception before the Oct. 25 performance at 5 pm. Join Robin Rubin, MSW to learn simple tools and strategies drawn from positive psychology that will help you incorporate more joy, gratitude, and happiness into your daily routine.Facilitator Bio: Robin is an avid volunteer, and very involved and well respected in the greater Boca Raton philanthropic community. Active in her effort to foster and support the local community, she has served on the foundation board for Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach County, the executive board of the Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center, South Palm Beach Jewish Federation, Norman and Ruth Rales Jewish Family Services and Caron Treatment Centers. She also serves on the Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s Go-Pink challenge committee and on the Women’s Advisory Council for the Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute. She is also passionately involved at Rales Jewish Family Services and in their yearly Reflections of Hope Luncheon. The mission of that luncheon is to educate the community and end the stigma of mental illness. Currently she teaches the Social Work and Positive Well Being course in both the MSW and BSW programs at Florida Atlantic University. Professor Rubin knows the skills and tools necessary to living a flourishing life and her passion is to teach people how to build their reservoir of positive emotions, work with negative emotions, increase their resilience, and create nurturing relationships. As an alumna of FAU, she is the driving force for the annual Phyllis Sandler Heart of Social Work Event that raises funds for student scholarships. Ms. Rubin also founded the Community Advisory Board for the Sandler School of Social Work in 2011 and continues to serve on the board as the faculty representative. She has two adult sons, Jordan and Jonathan; a daughter by luck, Bella; and 3 grandbabies – Sarati, her granddaughter, and Eitan and Elias, her 2 grandsons. Robin lives in Boca Raton with her wonderful husband, Gary and their two mini labradoodles.
