  • Location
    Barry and Florence Friedberg Auditorium
  • Description
The study of the Holocaust and other genocides encompasses moral, literary, historical, and cultural dimensions. While ethical considerations are paramount, oversimplifying how we instill ethical attitudes towards atrocity can be perilous. What lessons should we draw from these histories? Despite its integration into curricula, there's been backlash against Holocaust memorialization. How do we honor its uniqueness while acknowledging its claims on us? Amidst growing denial, how do we sustain Holocaust education? What insights from memory studies can guide our remembrance of the past and envisioning of the future? Join us as we grapple with these pressing questions, navigating the ethical complexities and evolving commemorative practices surrounding the Holocaust and other genocides.
