He's choosing 25 artists' books –– one from each year since the Jaffe Collection opened in 2000, and he's got 3 minutes (or less) to show and talk about each one. JCBA Education Coordinator Jonathan Rockford will be on hand with a stopwatch and a very large bell to keep things hopping. The stopwatch begins after a brief welcome and introduction at 3. You're guaranteed to experience things you've never seen before, and you're guaranteed to be outta here by 4:30 PM. Any questions? No? Good. Just show up (no RSVP required) have a seat and enjoy the experience.Aside from his work at the Jaffe Center for Book Arts, John Cutrone is a writer and a partner in Convivio Bookworks, a Lake Worth book arts shop and studio specializing in limited edition letterpress printed books and broadsides (https://conviviobookworks.com), as well as artisan goods and specialty foods from around the world. He is the author of the Convivio Book of Days, a literary lifestyle blog encouraging us to live the ceremony of each day (https://www.conviviobookworks.com/blog/), and was recently named North American editor of Parenthesis, the journal of the Fine Press Book Association. He is a graduate Florida Atlantic University and of the MFA in the Book Arts Program at the University of Alabama.
