- Oct 3112:00 PMFall 2024 Entrepreneur Boot CampThursdays | September 26 - Nov 14, 2024 Time: 12:00 - 2:20pm Location: Boca Raton Campus, OD-102 (Office Depot Center, first floor)Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur or ready to take your existing business to the next level, the Florida Atlantic Adams Center Entrepreneur Boot Camp is for you.Upon completion of the Boot Camp, you will be prepared to enter the prestigious Florida Atlantic Business Pitch Competition or the Tech Runway Venture Program and compete to fund your business.Through 20 contact hours, Entrepreneur Boot Camp students learn:How to deliver value to your customer. How to validate an effective business model. How to create an effective business pitch. How to pitch a plan to investors. How to determine sales methods and how to project sales revenues and expenses. How to find seed funding for your new venture. How to enter the prestigious Florida Atlantic Business Pitch Competition and compete for seed funding. In addition, Entrepreneur Boot Camp students will:Discover the most effective research tools available, from using databases in researching competition to understanding customer segments. Learn how to create a valuable marketing plan. Learn how to gain investor attention from family and friends, crowdsourcing, SBA, and institutional funding. Course Overview Entrepreneur Boot Camp is made up of eight sessions. All participants will receive a certificate upon satisfactory completion of all sessions as well as assignments and class discussions. To receive the certificate, unexcused class absences must not exceed two (2) sessions and participants must be on time.

Applicants will be notified by February 1, 2025, and awards will be made in March 2025.SCHOLARSHIPSSeven categories of scholarships are offered this year in marine conservation (basic or applied research), marine biology, underwater archaeology, sea turtle conservation, extreme environment physiology, and journalism/graphic arts/ photography/ videography. They are intended to support independent research, field work, and conservation/restoration activities, as specified in the descriptions found in the press release and on the website.TRAINING GRANTSTen categories of training grants are offered this year. Training grants provide funding for diving and diving-related underwater training.
