Join award-winning WLRN environment reporter Jenny Staletovich and experts, for a discussion about the future of the Everglades.
Everglades restoration, the massively complex wetlands restoration project that stretches from the Kissimmee River to Florida Bay, remains the largest in the nation's history.
In WLRN's podcast, Bright Lit Place, we take a look at the science, politics and planning that have gone into restoration efforts over the last 30 years. Repairing wetlands drained to pave the way for modern South Florida could have given the state a head start fighting climate change. Instead, work is years away from completion.
WLRN environment reporter Jenny Staletovich will host a discussion about the iconic "River of Grass," with experts to determine how things are going, and what's left to be done.
