- Apr 155:00 PMFAU-SIAM Reading Group on Biology/Mathematics, Machine Learning, and Data MiningWith the success of the reading group last semester, FAU SIAM (Society for Industry and Applied Mathematics) Student Chapter is delighted to announce that we are hosting a reading group again this semester. The group’s mission is to advance undergraduate and graduate students' interdisciplinary collaborations across the STEM fields. This time we will not only focus on the theoretical side of topics at the intersection of Biology, Mathematics, and Computer Science, but also, we will try to be more hands-on by exploring how to utilize those ideas to tackle simulated/real data. If you are interested in bio-math, machine learning, and/or data mining, please join us for our first meeting on March 18.
