Geared specifically for those new to yoga or those interested in gentle practice, the classes incorporate simple flowing sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower-paced movements focusing on alignments, strength, and balance. The classes are held in person in Room 115, College of Nursing Building, and on Zoom. No experience is required. Looking at how knowledge transfers between generations, National Geographic Emerging Explorer Dr. Maria Fadiman will explore the concept of ethnobotany, people and plants, looking at examples of what that means, and how that knowledge is transferred. She will then examine a specific case study in the Bahamas.
