Florida Atlantic University President Adam Hasner recently joined the College of Business to engage in a dynamic fireside chat with economist George Gilder about his book “The Israel Test: How Israel’s Genius Enriches and Challenges the World.”
Co-sponsored by the Dorothy F. Gilder is an investor and author of 19 books, and he is well known for his works on supply-side economics, societal dynamics, and information technology.
“We were honored to host Florida Atlantic University President Adam Hasner at the College of Business for a timely and informative discussion on the history and importance of Israel and the recent spike in antisemitism with distinguished author George Gilder,” Gropper said. “It was an insightful and engaging talk with members of our community, and we were pleased to work with Dean Michael Horswell and the Dorothy F. “The Israel Test: How Israel's Genius Enriches and Challenges the World” focuses on Israel’s rise as a technological power, its shift toward more free-enterprise over recent decades, and its culture of innovation.
President Hasner and Dean Gropper reflected on how the book's themes align with the mission of FAU’s College of Business, emphasizing the role of education in cultivating forward-thinking leaders who embrace innovation and economic progress.
“It was an honor to discuss the future of technology and economics with George Gilder, whose expertise in these fields is unparalleled,” Hasner said. “As we continue to lead the way in innovation, Florida Atlantic is proud to host visionary thinkers like Mr. Gilder to inspire the next generation of researchers and entrepreneurs.”
