FAU Earns Military Friendly® Status for 2025-26
Florida Atlantic University has been recognized as a Military Friendly® School, earning a silver designation among large public universities.
As part of the latest national rankings, Florida Atlantic University has been recognized as a Military Friendly® School, earning a silver designation among large public universities. Additionally, FAU has also been designated as a Military Spouse Friendly® School for 2025-26.
“We are honored to receive this very special Military Friendly Schools awards’ recognition that showcases both Florida Atlantic and our exceptional military-connected students,” said Jason Nadolinski, director of FAU’s Military and Veterans Student Success (MVSS). “We are committed to providing military-connected students with innovative academics, sense of belonging, and holistic services and support.”
FAU’s MVSS team and center proudly serves, supports and advocates for more than 950 military-connected students on six campuses and through remote learning. The team administrates various military and veteran educational benefits and programs, while also providing holistic services, support and experiences designed to enhance the academic success and career outcomes of military-connected students.
FAU is class-leading in student engagement through a robust liaison partner network, a career readiness and coaching program, tutoring resources, internship opportunities, entrepreneurship programs, a student veteran club, veteran alumni organization, as well as through special recognition events that foster an enduring sense of membership.
“This national recognition serves to validate that our military-connected students are pursuing class-leading higher education at a top national university,” said Nadolinski. “I am especially proud of our Florida Atlantic military-connected students, ROTC cadets, their families and our veteran Owl alumni.”
Military Friendly® is the standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful opportunity for the military community.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2025-26 survey. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey scores with the assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence (degree advancement or transfer) and loan default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
