Department of Theatre Presents Tartuffe, by Moliere
Tartuffe will be presented in Studio One Theatre on the Boca Raton campus from Friday, Oct. 3 through Sunday, Oct. 12.
In a masterful blend of satire and comedy, Molière’s timeless classic, Tartuffe, captivates audiences with its biting critique of hypocrisy and deception. Tartuffe is a cunning impostor who manipulates the trusting Orgon and his family, exposing the darker aspects of society. Through its use of comedy to tackle serious themes, Tartuffe not only challenged theatrical norms but also sparked controversy, earning it a place as one of the most enduring works in world theatre. With its rich blend of humor and social critique, Tartuffe remains a must-see for anyone interested in the power of theatre to challenge and inspire.
