Breezeway Dialogues: Should Marijuana be Legal in Florida?
The next Breezeway Dialogues will be on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 12:30 p.m. in the Rotunda of the Social Science Building. The topic is High Stakes: Should Weed be Legal in Florida? Free pizza at event.
This dialogue will explore the issue of cannabis legalization in Florida. Faculty and students will discuss the potential impacts of Amendment 3, which proposes to legalize marijuana for adults 21 and older. Participants will examine both the potential benefits, such as increased tax revenue and personal freedom, and the concerns, including public health and safety issues. This forum aims to encourage critical thinking and informed dialogue on a topic that could significantly impact Florida’s legal landscape and society.
