The Center for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology is excited to announce the inaugural CMBB Biotech Bridge HackathonBeat the Clock: Innovating for a Longer, Healthier Life to be held January 31-February 1, 2025 in the Majestic Palm Room in the Student Union. All majors are welcome!
Unleash your creativity and expertise at the CMBB Biotech Bridge Hackathon, where interdisciplinary teams will collaborate to extend human health span through cutting-edge solutions. Join students studying in areas such as molecular biology, biochemistry, environmental chemistry, bioinformatics, computational science, AI/machine learning, medicine, business, arts, and neuroscience for an exciting event driving innovation in longevity science.
Event Highlights:
- Challenge Focus: Using an interdisciplinary approach, formulate an innovative solution to the following question: How do we extend health span and slow the effects of aging? Choose your delivery method from three potential output options and present your solution to our panel of faculty and industry judges.
- Diverse Teams: Collaborate in teams of 3-6 with students from across all of the colleges and programs at Florida Atlantic University.
- Guidance & Networking: Engage with and receive guidance from expert faculty and industry leaders from a variety of academic disciplines and industries.
- Prizes & Recognition: Compete for several CASH prizes and awards.
Food and drinks will be provided throughout the event and there is no cost to participate.
