OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. March 14 from 12:01AM to 7:00AM
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 03/14/2024 from 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
Printing services maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be upgrading printing services used in the computer labs, library, and web printing on Thursday, March 14th, between the hours of 4AM and 7AM.
Downtime window start: 03/14/2024 4:00 AM
Downtime window end: 03/14/2024 7:00 AM
Affected services: Pay for print including fauprint.fau.edu.
End-user impact: Printing services in the labs, library, and fauprint.fau.edu will be intermittently unavailable during this upgrade.
Updating the URL on the “Pay Your Deposit Now”
Description of change: OIT will be updating the URL on the “Pay Your Deposit” button to navigate the students to Touchnet.

End-user impact: No end-user impact is expected during this time.
BHRIC Server Maintenance
Description of change: Research computing will be performing server maintenance on BHRIC servers
Downtime window start: 03/12/2024 11:00 PM
Downtime window end: 03/13/2024 6:00 AM
Affected services: During this time the following will be impacted:
*BHRIC sftp services, Redcap storage, Redcap Services, COS-Anzures-filemaker
End-user impact: During this time the following will be impacted:
*BHRIC sftp services – very light impact
*Redcap storage (no reports can be saved or downloaded during this time)
*Redcap Services impacts only 2 or 3 users (this is for external services that redcap uses like some reporting modules)
*** Note Redcap will still be available during this change, users can still fill out forms and surveys as the database is not impacted
*COS-Anzures-filemaker is for one faculty member and a few students and will be offline during this time
Research Computing BHRIC Server maintenance
Description of change: Research computing will be performing server maintenance on BHRIC VMM
Downtime window start: 03/13/2024 9:00 PM
Downtime window end: 03/14/2024 5:00 AM
Affected services: Research VMM2 will be offline during this time , so College IT admins will not be able to make any changes in BHRIC hyper-v
End-user impact: Only impacts College IT Admins with machines in BHRIC hyper-v

- Zoom -> Mediasite Imports offlineCurrently Zoom recordings designated for import to Mediasite are not being imported. OIT is aware and is investigating the problem with the vendor. Recordings can still be uploaded manually in the web interface.

- Health Virtual Desktop InfrastructureResearch Computing’s last-generation Virtual desktop Infrastructure (vhealth.fau.edu) is currently offline. We have identified the problem and are working to resolve it. Our new generation VDI is currently online and working as expected.
