OIT Systems Maintenance
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks from Wednesday, 10/08 until Friday, 10/11 between 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
Microsoft 365 Login Adjustments
Description of change: OIT will be making adjustments to Microsoft 365 sign-in restrictions. End user impact is expected to be minimal.

Downtime window end: 10/09/2024 7:05 AM
Affected services: Microsoft 365 and Azure services including VPN.
End-user impact: Compromised accounts will no longer be able to be accessed prior to remediation by OIT. Administrative accounts will only allow signing from geographically local locations.
Banner Database updates
Description of change: Ellucian will be performing quarterly patch updates on Banner and other related database servers.

Affected services: Banner production, Appworx, Harvest, Follett bookstore, Oracle Enterprise Manager, ODS, Data Warehouse, Self Service, Touchnet
End-user impact: Banner will be unavailable during this time
Banner Interface update for intersession classes
Description of change: Modifying Banner registration page to display a new warning message for intersession courses.

End-user impact: No end-user impact is expected during the maintenance.
Updating civic literacy process in Banner
Description of change: The BOG has approved the new Civics Literacy requirements effective Fall 2024. Modifying the process to include two courses to be in compliance with the BOG.

End-user impact: No end-user impact is expected during the maintenance.
Advanced VPN Client Updates
Description of change: OIT will be pushing additional updates to user running the Advanced VPN client starting October 8th, 2024. Users will receive a notification to upgrade their VPN client and they will be prompted to reboot their device afterwards in order to apply the changes.

Affected services: Advanced VPN
End-user impact: Users running the Advanced VPN client will be prompted to upgrade their client. If the user chooses not to upgrade, it will be automatically scheduled for later in the evening. Following the upgrade process, the user will be prompted to reboot their device.
