Florida Atlantic University recently celebrated its seventh annual gala in the Martin F. and Jane Greenberg Foundation Tower of FAU Stadium at its Boca Raton campus.
The gala brought more than 1,000 guests back in time with its theme of the gilded age of vintage ships and classic boardwalks. Spread over three levels of the stadium, the gala featured gourmet dining, a full open bar, live entertainment, auctions, photo-ops and more.
“Many thanks to the sponsors, volunteers and guests who made the 2017 President’s Gala our best one yet. By giving generously to FAU through the gala, we can support a future university president, or a brilliant coastal steward like my wife, or a world-renowned doctor, engineer, artist or business leader,” said FAU President John Kelly. “Simply put, together we can change the future in the best of ways.”
The gala celebrated advances in ocean science and engineering. For the past five decades, FAU has been a leader in ocean science and engineering education and discovery. Scientists at FAU are prioritizing the health of the Atlantic Ocean, Everglades and river basins.
