The personal trainer must be able to develop and implement exercise programs that are safe, effective, and appropriate for individuals who are apparently healthy or have medical clearance to exercise. Personal trainers must also be able to conduct health history interviews, administer proper assessments, understand human anatomy and functional exercise concepts, empower individuals, design workout programs for clients, educate, and assist clients in reaching their goals.
