An entrepreneur from Florida Atlantic University's Tech Runway was offered $250,000 during CrocTank, a first-of-its-kind live business pitch event recently hosted with the judges from ABC's show "Shark Tank."

The grant from the late Bernie Marcus and The Marcus Foundation will enable the FAU Marcus Institute of Integrative Health to expand its operations to provide more services and conduct more research.

FAU received a gift commitment of $2.6 million from Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach for the Hillel space within the S.E. Wimberly Library on its Boca Raton campus.

Richard Shusterman, Ph.D., in FAU's Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, has received a grant to explore a recent topic in the humanities and arts that commands growing attention - "atmosphere."
